Tonight is a fairly calm night at the Paape house hold thank heavens... I was seriously debating hitting the trails back up to Madison this afternoon after my eye appointment but then I totally forgot I promised to help my mom with the grocery shopping (damn me for being a good son).

I realized today that I have a lot to be thankful for but I never mentioned it in my last entry. I am thankful for my family; Mom, Dad, Shelly and Piper (da kitten). I'm thankful for all of my friends (even for those that I haven't talked to in awhile). I am really thankful for being accepted at Edgewood College, it really is a great school (now i just have to keep up with all the work).

I never fully realized how good I have it (even though i'm in debt up to my ears), but I have a pretty good job that accommodates my school schedule and pays the bills (even if i don't have enough to have any kinda fun).

wow its been awhile since I've been on LJ..... I decided i need to start using my livejournal again because it gives me some flexiblity, plus i need to conserve .Mac space for my podcasts.

So I guess its time to catch ya'll up on what I've been doing with myself for the last year. I've moved into the final stages of getting my BS in Political Science and Law at Edgewood College (i'm finally at a 4 year institution!) suffering through my first semester (they like to give us papers). I'm still working for WPS.... which I am hopping to cut from my life after the new year begins. Over this Summer I interned for NARAL Pro-Choice Wisconsin which was fabulous (I heart all the ladies in that office!) and I've been asked back to work as a Policy Assistant (intern/non paid) meaning i'll be spending a lot of time in committee meetings and policy briefings.

I co-chaired this semester for the College Dems on campus for the 2006 election cycle and the Dems kicked ass in this election however we lost on the marriage amendment... Wisconsin has now officially changed its motto from Forward! to Backward!

I've made a butt load of new friends and i'm happy :) in that respect now we just have to work on my weight, my complextion and getting my ass back in to the dating circuit after all its been 2 years and I think dwelling on the break up for this long has been enough its time i move on.

I'm so frustrated I'm gonna cry... I don't know what I'm doing with my life, I don't know what direction I want to go in. I feel completely confused, depressed and I want to just ball my eyes out. I don't know who to talk to. I feel like I can't talk to my mom about it because she will just fluff it of as me whining, right now she just wants me to get a full time job and health insurance. I know that if I'm forced to do that my employment record will go down the tubes. I can't be happy with something I'm forced into. I don't want to end up like my father.
